Sam And Mark Top The Charts

16.02.2004: Pop Idol runners up Sam and Mark have followed hot on the heels of winner Michelle McManus by making it straight to number one in the UK charts with their debut single.

Just 2 weeks after Michelle's triumph they pipped Ronan Keating in the race to the top spot with their cover of the Beatles "With A Little Help From My Friends".

Their other double-A side song "Measure Of A Man" is a track previously recorded by American Idol 2 runner up Clay Aiken on his debut album of the same name.

The boys have recently been busy with TV appearances on CD:UK, Top Of The Pops Saturday, 'Today with Des and Mel' and Davina McCall's new ITV1 show Love on A Saturday Night.

Meanwhile Michelle has begun a promotional tour back home in Scotland for her album "The Meaning Of Love" which was released today.
