Sam and Mark get by With A Little Help From Eachother
Pop Idol creator Simon Fuller signed the pair earlier this month and they have already been busy singing tracks from their forthcoming double-A sided single on Top Of The Pops (TOTP) and CD:UK.
They appeared on TOTP on 9th of January and sang "With A Little Help From My Friends". This was the song that Sam sang for the 'Beatles Night' Pop Idol show in front of a rapturous panel. That night Foxy described it as 'bloody awesome' and Simon said 'it was fantastic!'
As a duo they didn't disappoint. A cheeky smiling Sam sang the opening lines, he and Mark kind of took turns-of-piece with the the vocals and harmonised for the chorus.
It was a great TOTP christening reception for the 'Yummie-Brummie' and 'Sam the Man', and they lapped it up.
Yesterday on CD:UK they sang their other A-side entitled "Measure of a Man". This was the final song that Mark sang in the final of Pop Idol.
This time Mark opened up the singing. Again they sang alternate solo stints and sang the hook together. The boys finished up by thanking the audience who had been screaming all through the number.
They also gave thumbs-up and a wave to the beautiful Cat Deeley who complained that she hadn't yet had a chance to meet them. Later Cat saw the show out with the video of Sam and Mark's other buddy 'Michelle' singing 'All This Time' which is now in it's second week on top of the CD:UK chart.
Going by these early showings we believe that, with a little help from their fans, 'Sam and Mark' have a great chance of chart success!
